The PTA is largely funded by community fundraising events and led solely by parent volunteers. The PTA funds the Librarian, dance enrichment, chess, professional development for our teachers, supplemental classroom resources and much more – costs not covered by the DOE.
A diverse array of individual talents, professional expertise and resources are required for the PTA to function. No matter what your skills are or how much time you have to offer, you can contribute to these events that make our school feel like a community. Volunteer today for event planning and/or day of assistance for any of the following:
Welcome Back Wine and Cheese: September 12 Taste of the Seaport: October 18 Spooktacular: November 2 Movie Nights: Winter dates to be confirmed Book Fair: December 2-6 Middle School Dance: February 8 Friendship Day: February 12 Auction & Gala: March 28 Read-a-Thon: May 11 - 22 Fifth and Eighth Grade Ceremonies: June 16 and 18 Yearbook Signing Party: June 10
Our collective efforts have a huge impact on the quality of our children’s education. DOE funding leaves a gap in our school’s budget that we all pitch-in to close. We look forward to working across all grades together. Without volunteer participation, our community events cease to exist - and so do the programs funded by the PTA.
Together, we provide an enriched education that extends beyond DOE basics. Email Carrie (email@example.com) to express broad or specific interest in any volunteering opportunities.
